The first article of the Federal Law "On the Status of Military Personnel" states that state authorities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, local self-government bodies and organizations have the right to establish, within the limits of their powers, additional benefits, guarantees and compensations for military personnel, citizens dismissed from military service, and members of their families.
There is a similar example in the Urals, where a local law on additional measures for social protection of war veterans was adopted. However, the attitude to people of military destiny, the army, and the problems of national defense in the region-the forge of Russian weapons-is not limited to legal acts.
