What attracts, for example, the glorious hero city of Sevastopol to guests from far and near abroad? As it turned out, not only historical monuments, museums, a wonderful climate and the cordiality of local residents. Some tourists are actively engaged in the search for mineral deposits here. Moreover, on the territory of parts of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation.
We must protect our military secrets from them
Most recently, a 26-year-old Turkish citizen, together with his guide, a resident of a local village, worked hard on this important issue, as they say. However, the enthusiasm of the hard-working miners of the despicable tsvetmetall was misunderstood by the duty service of the military unit, where the commander was Captain 1st rank Leonid Shevtsov, and they were stopped by a very indelicate question: "What are you doing here?" And not at all because the Black Sea sailors took the encroachments of a foreigner on the bowels of their native land so close to heart. It's just that they are instructed to detain all unauthorized persons on the territory of their unit. In a word, strangers don't go here, and if they do, it's only for a very short time. After a short conversation, the failed prospectors, accompanied by senior midshipman Dotsenko, were taken to the nearest police station. It turned out that the detainees were Turkish citizens Ilker Karakhan and Serhiy Radchenko. A citizen of a neighboring state came to Sevastopol on a tourist ticket issued by the Istanbul firm Milek. Either this very "Milek", as usual, seduced a gullible and inquisitive fellow countryman, or, on the contrary, Karakhan was so fascinated by the sights of the legendary city that he was clearly late returning home: his visa expired exactly a year ago. The tourist, judging by his careless appearance, has pretty much overextended, descended to ordinary homeless people.
Now" metalworkers " are engaged in national security agencies. It is possible that one of the versions they are working on will be "spy".
Actually, why not? Judge for yourself. A sexually mature, conscripted citizen of a country that is also a member of the North Atlantic Bloc, illegally enters the territory of part of the Russian Black Sea Fleet at a time when NATO is just conducting large-scale exercises together with the Ukrainian Navy. And if you add to this picture the disturbing background of the smoldering Balkan conflict, then the suspicion of espionage turns out to be quite strong.
The fact that Mr. Karakhan doesn't look much like Bond (James Bond) with all his peeping and eavesdropping tricks and unsightly rummages in landfills is not an alibi at all. After all, can a military intelligence officer change his legend? They say spies do that sometimes.
As a rule, it is not without scandal in the case when the fact of espionage in favor of another state is obvious. As, for example, in the case of an Estonian citizen, Pyotr Kalachev, who was detained by the Russian FSB when he received information that is a state and military secret. Kalachev earned a living collecting information about the Pskov Airborne Division and, despite offers from an Estonian hot guy to become a double agent, was sent out of Russia.
And then there was a failure at the Latvian citizen Peters Alkins, who was engaged in collecting secret maps of the General Staff of the Russian Military department.
In both cases, foreign intelligence agents found willing but not disinterested assistants who also had access to secret documents. This is not a "stalker" - a secret hunter who knows the paths and constant holes in the barbed fence of a military unit.
I think that arguments about the moral character and motivations of people who have changed their Homeland are superfluous in this case. A military court will decide their fate. But espionage passions speak volumes about the fact that foreign intelligence agencies are still interested in our Armed Forces. This is both pleasing and alarming at the same time. I am glad that the army and navy of our country, despite all the difficulties experienced, continue to pose a direct and clear threat to unfriendly forces. On the other hand, it is alarming that secret information is being leaked, and even with the assistance of morally unstable military personnel.
Recently, with the help of Hollywood film production, which our electronic media continuously broadcast on all TV channels, some ordinary people firmly believed that we can't keep secrets from "them", because "they" know everything about us, and what they don't know yet, they will find out in one moment.
However, the revelations of our homegrown spies clearly show that their superagents are in no hurry to show themselves, apparently not wanting to "shine"ahead of time. So far, the intelligence services of North Atlantic and pro-NATO states prefer to work in the "feeler" mode, including through the use of untalented informers and "bad boys".
It turns out that the "cursed bourgeois", despite our loyalty to them, still do not give up hope of finding out the main military secret of the Russians, which means that no one has yet lifted their vigilance. There was a time when in any of our barracks, in any forecastle, they knew exactly " where the threat to peace was coming from." The slogan "Fear spies!" has long been obsolete and simply ridiculous. There is no need to be afraid of anyone, but it is still too early to weaken attention to the machinations of unfriendly forces and criminal elements.
