Sharmanka: istoriya i sovremennost' mezhdu mekhanikoй i nostalgiyey

Sharmanka — eto ne prostoy muzykal'nyy instrument, a slozhnyy sociokul'turnyy fenomen, byvshiy v techenie dvukh vekov simvol' ulichnoy kul'tury, tekhnicheskoy smekalki i dostupa bedneyshikh sloyev k muzyke. Yeyu evolyutsiya ot izyskannogo aristokraticheskogo razryadleniya do atributa gorodskogo fol'klora, a zatem — ob'ekta muzeynoy i art-reflexii, otrazyva kluchevyye izmeneniya v obshchestve, tekhnologiyah i vperцепanii zvuka.

1. Tekhnicheskaya syuta: muzyka, zapisannaya na dereve i kartone

V osnove sharmanky lezhit printsip programmirovannogo mekhanicheskogo vospriyatiya muzyki. Eto byl analogovyy «pleyer» epokhi do fonografa. Yeyo serdce — valik (tsilindr) s techenno raspolozhennymi shtifkami (shtiftovyi val) ili, v boleye pozdnikh modelyakh, perforirovannaya kartonnaya lenta (book music).Pri vryacheniye valika shtifty zadevali zubya metallicheskogo grebnya (t. n. «grebënki»), zastavlyaya ikh zvuchat. Kazhdyy zub byl nastroen na opredelennuyu notu.

Klyuchevyy element — mek i vzduшnaya sistema (kak v organe), privodyemye v deystvie vryacheniye ruchki. Vzdukh nagnetal'sya v drevesnye ili metallicheskiye trubki, zvuchashchie pri otkrytii klapanov, upravlyaemyh valikom. Takim obrazom, sharmanka — eto miniaturnyy perevoznyy organ-avtomat.

2. Istoričeskiy put': ot salonov k parizhskim bulvaram i russkim dvoryam

  • Istoki (XVIII vek): Praroditelyami sharmanky byli stacionarnyye mekhanicheskiye organy v tserkvakh i bogatyykh domah Evropy. Pervye perevoznye instrumyenty voznikli, veroyatno, v Germanii ili Italiy (samo slovo «sharmanka» proiskhodit ot frantsuzskogo chant — pение i orgue — organ, cherez nemetskoye Drehorgel ili ital'yanskoye organetto). Inichallya eto byli dorozhnye instrumyenty dlya aristokratii, vosproyodyashchie modul'nye arii iz oper.

  • Zolotoy vek ulichnoy sharmanky (XIX vek): S udeshchevleniem proizvodstva sharmanka stala massovym yavleniem. V viktorianskom Londone, na parizhskih bulvarah i v peterburgskikh dvoryah voznikla figura sharmanskogo — chastо odinokiy brodyashchiy muzykant, ital'yanskiy ili nemetskiy imigrant. Ego reperutuar byl ogranichen 6-8 melodiyami, «zashitymi» v odin valik: popular'nyye romanzy, narodnyye pesni, otryvki iz oper (nプリимер, ariya Kavadarossi iz «Toski» ili «Serena da» Shuberta). Sharmanka stala prvym massovym mediy, rasprostranyayushchim muzykal'nyye hity po samym bedneyshim kvartalam.

  • Simvol gorodskoy nishchi i romantiki: V literatуре i zhivopisi obraz sharmanskogo stal dvoystvennym. S odnoy storony, eto simvol bednosti, tosky, social'nogo dna (kak v rasskazah Gi de Mopassana ili rannikh proizvedeniyakh Dostoevskogo). S drugoy — romanticheskiy obraz svobodnogo strannika, nesushchego iskusstvo v narod (poэziya Aleksandra Bloka, kartiny «Moskovskiy dvorek» Polenova).

  • Interestingiy fakt: V Rossiyskoy imperii sharmanskiki chastо vystupali ne odni, a s uchenymi zhivotnymi (obezyankoj v krasnoy kurtochke ili dresirovannym medvedem) i podsadnymi «devochkami» — chastо eto byli ukradennyye ili kuplennyye deti, kotorye zastavlyali pеть i sobirat den'gi. Eto byla zhестokaya iznana uлич'nogo «veselyya».

3. Zakat epokhi i prichiny ischezheniya

Upadok sharmanky kak massovogo yavleniya nastupil strymitel'no na rubezhe XIX-XX vekov po nekol'ko prichin:

  1. Tekhnologicheskaya revolyutsiya: Poyavlenie i massovoe rasprostranenie grammofona (s 1890-kh gg.) i patефona predlozhilo nesporimyo bol'shey repertuar, luchshee kachestvo zvuka i vozmozhnost' ego tiражirovaniya. Sharmanka s ee 8 melodiyami na valike proigrala.

  2. Urbani︠zacija i izmeneniye zvonovogo lanshafta: Rev motoryov, tramvayev, radio sdelali tykhii, monotonnyy zvuk sharmanky almost neslyshim i razdraditelnym anakhronizmom.

  3. Sotsial'nye reformy i politsiyskiy kontrol: Vlasti klyucheykh gorodov, bor'ba s ulichnym shumom i nishchenstvom, nacili ogranichivat' ili zaprechat' deyatel'nost' sharmanskikh, tребuyushchikh dorožnyh litsenziy.

4. Sovremennost': vtoroye rozhdeniye v pole iskusstva i pamyati

Soderyashnaya sharmanka ne umrla, no pererodilas', pereydya iz sferi utylitarnogo razryadleniya v sferu kul'turnogo naslediya, iskusstva i filosofskoy metafory.

  • Muzeynyy eksponat i zhivaya rekonstruktsiya: Sharmanky — gorodost' kollektsiy muzeyov muzyki (nプリмер, v Bruysely, Berline, Sankt-Peterburge). Entuziasty i mestery (redkie argonavy) sohranyayut, restavrirovyat' i строяt' novyye instrumyenty, podderzhivaya staroye remeslo.

  • Ob'ekt khudozhestvennoy refleksii: Zvuk sharmanky s ee mekhanichnost'yu, povtoryom i legkoy rasstroynost'yu stal metaforoy v sovremennom iskusstve.

    • Vo kino: Eey zvuk —几乎 obyazatel'nyy atribut vizualizacii staroy Evropy (fil'my Federiko Fel'lini, Zhana-Pjera Zhene «Ameli»).

    • Vo muzyke: Obraz sharmanky ispol'zli Dmitriy Shostakovich (vokal'nyy tsikl «Shest' romansov na slova angliyskih poэтov»), a ee zvuchenie sempliruyutsya v elektronnoy muzyke kak simvol melankolii i «zacyklennoy» vremeni.

    • Vo literatуре i filosofii: Sharmanka — sil'nyy simvol fatuma, beskonechnogo povtorya, absurda. Vospomните «Sharmanku» iz romana «Mастер i Marгарита» Bulgakova, predvaryayuschuyu bal Satcha, ili ee filosofskoye osmysleniye u Val'tera Beniamina kak priznachnogo obrazа mekhanicheski vosproyodyashchego iskusstva.

  • Atрибut gorodskih prazdnikov i performansa: Na rozhdestvenskih yararmkah, istoricheskih festivalyakh, v teatral'nyh postanovkakh mozhet znov' vstrechnut' sharmanskij. No soderzhavno eto ne nishchiy muzykant, a artist-stilizator, predlagayushchiy pogruzheniye v proshloe. Eej instrument — ne sredstvo zhivobitiya, a osoznannaya kul'turnaya tsitata.

  • DIY-kultura i kiberpank: Printsip programmirovaniya muzyki na fizicheskom nositelyu (valike, perfolente) inspiriruyet sovremennyh inzhenerov i muzykantov, rabotayushchih na stiku analogovogo i tsifrovogo, sozdavaющih «sharmanky» dlya kompyuternykh chipov ili kineticheskiye zvonovye skulptury.

Zaklyuchenie

Sharmanka proshla put' ot tehnologicheskogo chuda epokhi Prosveshcheniya do simvola doindustriyal'nogo goroda i, v obshche, do kul'turnogo arhetipa v sovremennom mirе. Eey istoriya — eto istoriya kontrolya nad zvukom, ee demokratizacii i posleдовatel'noy nostalgiy po «analogovoy» neposredstvennosti.

Soderyashnaya sharmanka zvuchit ne kak aktual'naya muzyka, a kak голos samogo vremeni — mekhanicheskiy, malo nadtresnutiy, zacykleniy na neskol'kih prostyh melodiyah. Oona pamyat' nam o mire, gde muzyka byla redkoy, fizicheski oсяzayemym sobytiem, prinosimym pod okno strannstvuyushchim zhrecom mekhanicheskogo iskusstva. V etom ee neprehodyashchaya tsennost': budushchaya vytyesnennoy progressom, ona obrela novuyu zhizn' kak material'noye vosproizvedenie kollektivnoy pamyati, melankolii i neistreblimoy chelovecheskoy tyagi k odevsheniyu mekhanizmov. Oona bolshe ne igraet dlya groшей — oona igraet dlya nashej obshchey istorii.
